Return to states Rights
“And to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, under God, with liberty and justice for all” is the government that I wish to return to. The constitution that we used to live under. Socialism, similar to Europe’s, is not the ideal that conservatives want but it sure looks like that is what liberals are leading us to. I enthusiastically propose that many of the federal departments be eliminated so that responsibility for their departments will be shifted back to the states where it belongs. I read in the paper that if we can find money in our budget, Michigan can get matching federal funds for roads if we meet their strict requirements. Where did the money from the fed come from?? I think it came from Michigan taxpayers. Michigan gets back only about 80% of what we send to D.C. Same thing with health, education and welfare. How much money is dissipated in the federal bureaucracy? Yes, the US needs a federal government answerable to the people. However, it needs to be a limited government. I believe capitalism is inherent to the structure of the republic. Redistribution of your money and mine to less fortunate people and countries is not, or should not, be the purpose of government. Just because our representatives agree (a majority) that certain laws be implemented, even though it is contrary to the guidance of our constitution, are for the common good does not mean that they are the proper role of government. In a democracy that is just the rule of the majority, there are no limits to what the majority can help itself to. Just look at the unintended consequences of most of the federal laws passed in the last 60 years. Single mothers, repossessed homes, recession, inflation, unemployment - all in the attempt to get equal outcome. There will never be equal outcome. However, the real problem is that we are humans and some people will get and attempt to hold all the power. It appears that the current leaders of that grab are Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. They say they want bi-partisanship but all meetings are in back rooms with jackasses only. Bi-partisan does not say “my way only”. In addition, the cap & trade money grab has been taken out of the hands of congress by the EPA. Read their web site under “global warming”. An appointee published in the congressional record that CO2, NO, etc are pollutants so she then has power to regulate all aspects of it. She has already stated she will start with electricity generation. No question that prices will rise and become a huge tax on business and individuals. One hundred Billion to be given to poor countries. The goal for additional power is a Washington dictated health management law. Mandatory with big penalties for not complying with it’s all inclusiveness. The IRS as the policing arm. None of that sounds like LIMITED GOVERNMENT. I have read much of the HB and the EPA dictate. 100 years ago was the start of the industrial revolution. It was a time of innovation and entrepeneurs. The federal government was paid for by import taxes. There were no federal regulations or subsidies. The current people in power keep imposing more and more subsidies and regulations and therefore more power.
Jackasses don't listen-medicine
The democrat’s health care proposal is basically prepaid care which has no restrictions on its use. The cost being partly paid for by eliminating fraud and waste. Why is no one being held responsible for this waste and fraud? This fraud and waste should be eliminated first.
Tort reform has been estimated to save 25% but is trivialized by the liberals. My recent experience shows that the cost of proving that nothing is wrong is very expensive. You cannot leave the hospital without the doctor’s permission or Medicare and insurance will not pay. Three days in the hospital because the doctor is afraid of being sued is outrageous. Hospitals and doctors have no reason to hold costs down because it’s extra profit. My doctor called it a “cash-ectomy” but I think it was a ”cash-otofme”.
President Borat Obama says that we can keep our existing health insurance but requires premiums and benefits to remain constant or force participants to join the federal plan. Because of the mandates of this legislation, it is insanity to think that the premium could possibly not require an increase.
The promise to keep health costs down is following the pattern of the banking industry in raising interest rates to usurious levels ahead of the new requirements. Huge additions to hospitals and branch facilities have been built in anticipation of this legislation. My belief is the legislation has been bought by a few interested parties. No republican proposals have been given due consideration. Doesn’t the taxpayer pay enough of a subsidy to the poor for housing, food, transportation with no requirement for their accountability.
There are 62 free clinics in Michigan. Blue Cross cannot refuse to insure anyone with pre-existing conditions. What benefit will Michigan get from the Health Care Bill.

2) If you remember the resolution trust fiasco you ain’t seen nothing yet. The new head of the Financial Reform Dept said on C-Span that she will require “MARK TO MARKET” for commercial loans. She was really emotional but probably just following orders as any good n… would. My take is that it will cause most small banks to declare bankruptcy because the will of the Administration is to consolidate power for their bankrollers. Prices for commercial properties will fall at the rate that houses did. Remember you heard it here first.
3) I am a believer in conspiracies!!! This one starts out with a president of the United States saying he is opening the Gulf for more oil drilling. 2 weeks later one of George Soros operatives talks an employee of BP to put this small bomb on the platform to cause an incident. Except this small bomb was much more powerful than stated. Conveniently, two of the emergency shut off devices were inoperative. Broken hose on the hydraulic pipe pincher. When the pipe fell to the floor of the ocean it was kinked so Borat told BP to cut it off because it was restricting the flow instead of kinking it further which might have stopped the flow as other fixes were found. When the first cap iced up, it was removed to allow unrestricted flow instead of adding heat to melt the ice. Too simple! Obama gave this platform an award for its safety!!!
4) The ASSUMTION that there is global warming is not provable but that is irrelevant if you want to TAKE power and tax consumption of energy. Just have an appointee declare CO2 and NO2 to be pollutants so that G E, George Soros, Al Gore etc can profit. Jackasses (Democrats) have hijacked the green movement because there are so many people with big hearts and are easily lead.
5) George Bush is guilty of allowing the regulators of changing requirements for purchasing FUTURES for OIL that preceded the manipulation of oil prices which drove gas to over $4.00/ gal. Someone like Soros made a Lot of $$$$$ on the way up and the way down. This effectively brought the sale of the most profitable auto products to a halt. Just a crisis that the jackasses needed. Put millions of auto industry employees out of a job. Ripple down foreclosures on houses, ripple down mortgage company bankruptcies, and ripple down run on banks. The forced lending to people without any ability to maintain their payments by the big hearted Barney Franks (Jackass extraordinaire) was a necessary requirement. I am sure he had no idea of the unintended consequences. If I was a banker I would have figured some way to get those loans off my portfolio. No one in government is or was held accountable for not enforcing the adequate regulations. Do you think that not enforcing regulations is a good reason to re-wright the entire banking regulations or is it an excuse to take over more power??? Maximum 36% interest rate??? Who is that helping.

7) Recently a traffic stop in suburban Detroit resulted in a declaration by the person that she and her mother that was with her that they were ILLEGAL ALIENS. The officer then called the Immigration Dept. of the United States that they were not eligible for deportation. I would call the immigration dept to ask what the qualifications are but I’m afraid I might qualify by questioning them. Borat Obama along with Bill Clinton are quoted as saying that illegal immigrants are the salvation for our country. I would like to see them explain how. If a law was passed prohibiting any payments (welfare et al) to and for illegals they will voluntarily return to their native countries.

entitlements
I wish to address your concerns with the RIGHT (correct) wing thinking of true conservatives. As you know, when a person with diminished thinking starts to blow his money or just gives it away, (A drunken sailor named Ted Kennedy comes to mind)a CONSERVATOR is appointed by a judge to conserve his assets.; Our government now desperately needs a conservator -NOT a bleeding heart, power grabbing, leader who gives out not just help to the unfortunate but a new ENTITLEMENT without funding. The Liberals wish to extend medicare to people 55 to 65. No one questions that medicare needs huge subsidies from the taxpayers. Can you think of any company that would want to pay the insurance for anyone over 55? Then there is the rest of the 30 million who would be given subsidy (in effect Medicaid). Republicans are vilified for trying to get tort reform and other COST saving ideas included. These hypocrites will jam this reform down our throats even though it has only 35% approval of the population. The drug coverage law will be chump change compared to this. You, being rich, are expected to cover the expense.; I, being poor, wish to thank you.I think that the congress should follow the Hippocratic Oath “first do no harm”. Many, many times the best thing is to do NOTHING. All too often the law of unintended consequences comes down with grave consequences. Yes, my libertarian leanings go too far, but the constitution says that states keep those powers NOT delegated to the Federal government. How do you justify all the federal mandates that a bureaucracy forces on the states often times without necessary funding. Why do we have to provide matching funds and meet arbitrary rules to get back part of the money we sent to Washington? Where does that funding ultimately come from?? You and me babe. We are still a contributor state getting back less than 100% of the money we send. Our senators and congressmen apparently have little influence in spite of their longevity even though they are democrats. Puppets and loudspeakers come to mind.
The current housing collapse was caused by Barney Frank and other liberals who insisted that banks extend loans to everyone who asked for a mortgage. I am sure they thought that ever escalating prices of homes would cover any losses. Banks dreamed up a plan to offset the losses they thought would occur by selling “default bets” but apparently not enough to cover the collapse that did happen. I think that the Fed caused the problem so it was their obligation to make the loan which is being paid back with interest. Net effect of the bank loans to the deficit I don’t know.Democrats have taken over the GREEN movement because of its well meaning adherents who don’t research the facts (who always vote democrat) but believe the PROFIT driven leaders.
I refuse to call then democrats anymore because it implies the will of the people instead of just the ""rulers.
